A influência da Igreja Católica no pensamento conservador norte-americano

É inegável o contributo da Igreja Católica  na construção (ou reconstrução) das bases do que chamamos conservadorismo norte-americano do pós-guerra. Isto se deveu à sua recuperação do libertarianismo (liberalismo) clássico - e sua visão anti-estatal -  e o tradicionalismo cultural, cuja fonte inexorável é a  ICAR.

For Russell Kirk and other leading traditionalists of the era, the Roman Catholic church, with its soaring intellectual edifice and unitary vision of faith and reason, matter and spirit, was the natural conservator of Western civilization and the sure source of its renewal after the catastrophes of the 20th century.
